This is what I did-
1. Installed only the SDK on my XP work station. No runtime or any other
component installed . Closed the configuration wizard since there is nothing
to configure.
2. Then created a BizTalk project in Visual Studio 2005.
3. Add Generated Items
4. Select Add Adapter and then SQL
5. Continue successfully until it asks me to select either select statment
or stored proc.
6. When I hit next the Wizard quitely closes.
7. Try multiple times - same behavour, get frustrated and setup a second
machine - same behavour.
I don't even get to a point where I specify a stored proc, so it is not
related to SQL query. All the other posts I see on this happen after the
stored proc is selected. What kind of Wizard is this?
Okay one last question - if there is no solution to above, is there a way to
generate the schema and the other artifacts by hand for a revceive port
easily? If that is not possible too then I can't use this product. I am not
sure what is Microsoft's return policy, I hope I can get my money back. It is
quite an expensive product for a Wizard to close quitely.

I recently had the same problem, and blogged about it here [1].

Not sure if my solutions will work for you, but hopefully it will help some.
