I tried to install BizTalk 2006 development tools on XP X64 and got stuck
with ADO MD.Net 9.0 failing to install. When I tried to run the msi I got a
message stating it was not supported on the OS version.

My question does anyone know if there is a version of ADO MD.Net 9.0 or
greater that BizTalk depends on available for XP X64?

Regards, Major.

Hi Major!

ADO MD.Net is included in the dependencies cab for the Biztalk server. You
can download the cab file from the location provided in the installation
instructions
(http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=B273269C-97E0-411D-8849-5A8070698E4A&displaylang=en).
However, you should note that the installation instructions are for BizTalk
Server 2006 (not R2) and R2 uses different CAB files, which are available
from here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/942181 . The installer does
download wrong cab file on x64 Windows versions (at least it did on my Vista
x64).

Yours sincerely,

Hi,
Just install the appropriate Biztalk Cab File durring the installation
process the wizard will prompt you to install the CAB file.
But first put the CAB file in a shared folder then from the installation
wizard brows to the Biztalk CAB file from network.
you can get the appropriate CAB file from Microsoft Web Site.
just goole it

good luck
